92 Alpine: Six Questions with Scott Rieley

April 13, 2026

We asked Scott Rieley 6 questions about the construction of the upcoming building.

1. What's the construction timeline for 92 Alpine Drive?

We’re currently planning to open on February 1, 2027. Construction always involves a number of moving parts, so we’ll continue to share updates as things progress. The best way to stay informed will be through our website and social channels.

2. When will pre-leasing begin, and how should prospective residents express interest?

We expect pre-leasing to begin sometime after September 1, 2026, Most renters looking for a place are working within a 60–90 day window, so activity may naturally pick up closer to the start of 2027. For now, we encourage people to follow along and reach out through our website to stay connected.

3. How would you describe the Annex in relation to the main Finney Crossing campus?

At its core, the Annex shares the same vision as Finney Crossing—a commitment to building a thoughtful, eco-conscious community sitting at the cross roads of Vermont. What’s different is the setting. The Annex feels a bit more pastoral and quiet, a touch more removed from the bustle of Taft Corners, while remaining fully connected. You can walk, bike, or drive into the main campus or beyond, but when you’re home, it feels a little more integrated into the landscape.

The Annex and the main campus really sit side by side. The Williston Bike Path runs directly through the Annex, connecting residents to Finney Crossing and into historic Williston Village. It creates a way to move through daily life—whether it’s heading to Healthy Living Market, the movies, or a restaurant—without always needing to get in the car. That connectivity is a big part of how we think about community.

4. What kind of resident or lifestyle is the Annex designed for?

It’s very much aligned with the broader Finney Crossing community, but it will appeal to someone looking for a slightly quieter pace. You’re still right at the crossroads of Vermont: a short drive to Burlington, with easy access to skiing, hiking, the lake, and everything else that makes this area special.

5. What are some of the standout features or amenities?

One of the defining features is an open park and meadow space—something intentionally designed to bring people closer to nature. There’s also a full-size swimming pool, along with spaces to relax, gather, or simply spend time outdoors.

The layout itself matters, too. The buildings are spaced in a way that feels open and breathable, with gardens, green lawns, and trees throughout. It’s not dense in the way many developments are. You get proximity and access, but also a sense of calm and room to breathe.

This is our ninth building, and over the past 17 years, we’ve learned a great deal about how people actually live. The apartments are designed to feel open, intuitive, and filled with natural light—spaces that are easy to move through and comfortable to spend time in.

We’ve also continued to refine how we integrate the outdoors, whether that’s through layout, light, or environmental systems like rainwater management. Each building is an evolution of what came before.

6. How does the Annex continue Finney Crossing’s “New Vermont Green” approach?

Sustainability remains central to everything we do. We’re continuing our partnership with SunCommon to install rooftop solar, building on the systems we’ve already put in place across Finney Crossing. Last year alone, our solar arrays generated enough energy to power over 165 average Vermont homes.

But sustainability isn’t just about energy—it’s about how people live together. When you bring people into a walkable, connected community, you reduce reliance on cars and resources. That’s really the heart of what we mean by a new Vermont green.  We’re continuing to refine that experience with each new addition.
