Crossroads Of Vermont

Burlington Access

Burlington is a gem that sits on a hill looking over Lake Champlain toward the fabulous Adirondacks. Nestled on its slopes are two great college campuses, the Flynn Theater, Church Street Marketplace, and a vibrant arts scene.  Moreover, there's been a renaissance in micro brewing in Burlington which features Queen City Brewery, Magic Hat Brewery, Foam and more.  And let's not forget the waterfront with its marina, dockside restaurants, dinner cruise, sailing center, science museum and bike path.  It's an effervescent experience just minutes to your West.

University of Vermont

Even closer by is the campus of the world-class University of Vermont. UVM enhances the lives of those who live close by through its many programs and offerings that include continuing education courses, the Lane Music Series and the President's Lecture Series. UVM also plays the most prominent role in providing healthcare around the region, and the campus now features a state-of-the-art medical campus that's been completely rebuilt in the last five years. Enjoy sports? The UVM basketball team has been regularly making the NCAA March Madness tournaments in the last decade and its hockey team is a regular producer of talent for the NHL. The campus also hosts the popular Lake Monsters baseball team in the summers even though UVM, sadly, no longer has its own team.

BTV Airport

Burlington also features an airport that serves most major airlines including United, Delta, JetBlue, American airlines and more. The airport is less than 10 minutes away and you won't have to worry about long lines and budgeting for unreasonable security line wait times.

Local Farmers Markets

Williston features two significantly sized farmers' markets -- one at Adams Farm, the other at Isham Farm -- which generally feature regular weekly market times. You'll find food trucks, live music and entertainment which make them excellent all family affairs. The markets follow the seasons so you can buy seedling plants in the Spring, enjoy fresh Summer produce and enjoy apple cider and donuts in the Fall. In the Winter you can pick and cut your own Christmas tree and local teens will help tie it to the roof of your car!

Catamount Recreation Center

The Town of Williston has recently acquired a significant plot of land from the McCullough family who have run a four season recreation center on their land.  Throughout the year, enjoy weekly bike or trail running races, or enjoy the mountain bike or running trails,  or ski or snowshoeing trails. Lessons are also available for those who want to learn a new outdoor sport.

Ski Resort Access

Love to ski or snowboard? We're less than 20 minutes from Cohcran's Ski Area which is a fun, family ski center where many local children first learn to ski. Farther afield you'll find Bolton Valley, Mad River Glen, Sugarbush, and Smugglers Notch. Whether you like skiing or snowboarding there are options for you. For you cross country skiers, there are groomed trails at Camel's Hump, Bolton Valley, Cochran's, Sleepy Hollow and at the Trapp Family Lodge (in Stowe).
